The 3,108-acre Ringle Unit is located south of Hwy. 29, between Weston and the Village of Ringle.  There are several parking areas including: White Horse Lane, Timber Ridge Ln, Big Wound Road and Dallman Road with access to this unit.  

 

The area is fairly wet, consequently there are few designated hiking trails and no bike or horse trails.  The snowmobile trail does intersect this unit.

 

The forest is a mixture of oak/hardwoods and aspen and a few pine/spruce plantations.  This unit receives substantial hunting pressure in the fall due to the close proximity to the greater Wausau area.
