The facility is open for the season in late April/early May and will be open through the day before opening day of the regular gun deer season.  The public may only use the range during scheduled public shooting hours.  Staff on site can sell daily admissions and items including archery targets, rifle & pistol targets, 1" target dots, 3" target dots, 6" target centers, ear muff rental, disposable ear plugs, clay pigeons, soda and water.  With you an annual pass (available online, by phone, or in the parks office) or a daily pass you get access to the below ranges.  The 600 yard range is not open to the general public.  It is for use by the Marathon County Rifle and Pistol Club.  Annually, the range is closed from the opening day of gun deer hunting season until the first part of May.

The Archery Range includes the use of elevated stands and bales for the targets.  Traditional longbow and recurve bows, compound bows and crossbows are all allowed to be used at the archery range.

100 Yard Rifle Range:  Shooters may setup targets at 50 and 100 yards.

300 Yard Rifle Range:  Shooters may setup targets at 50, 100, 200 and 300 yards.  The maximum distance the general public may shoot rifles is 300 yards.

Bench Rest Range:  Targets may be setup at 15, 40 and 50 yards.  Pistols, shotguns and small caliber rifles such as .177 and .22 caliber may be used on the bench rest range.  There are two shooting benches on the firing line.  Turkey, upland bird and duck hunters may pattern their shotguns on this range. When shooters would like to check their target, they must shout out a 'cease fire' command and flip the sign from "FIRE" to "CEASE FIRE" after which time shooters can walk down range to check their targets.  Once everyone returns to the shooting benches and firing line, the sign must be flipped to from "CEASE FIRE" to "FIRE" and the "FIRE" command shouted before anyone begins shooting.

Clay Target Range (for shotgun use):  Two mechanical clay target throwers are provided at the Clay Target Range. Only biodegradable clays may be used at the park. Clay targets are available for purchase at the range by the box.  There are 30 and 50 yard markers on this range for a reference on how far the clays travel.

The users of the facility operate under the rules set in the County Ordinances as well as the following park regulations.
