The 5 diamond Sunny Vale Softball Complex is a 71 acre recreation area that provides facilities for organized softball activities.  The softball complex, which is utilized by the Wausau Area Softball Association through a contract with Marathon County, has facilities which include:

  • 5 lighted softball fields each with dugouts, bleachers, score boards, and press box.
  • Concession stand with restrooms
  • Centrally located parking lot
  • Open sided shelters

Before the first week of May, the field is primarily used by area high schools for practices and games.  All other parties wishing to use the field including tournaments should contact Robert Stephens, Park Operations Supervisor at 715.261.1577.

The Wausau Area Softball Association(WASA) schedules field use and league play with the Park Department which starts annually around the 2nd week in May.  WASA contact is Paul Dykstra/President at phone number 715.212.7345.  This complex hosts a summer league as well as weekend tournaments for men and women's teams.
