The Marathon County Health Department and the City of Wausau are teaming up to offer a week of FREE lead contractor trainings during February 23-27, 2026.

These in-person classes are designed to help you learn lead-safe work practices and earn professional certifications that can strengthen your business and build trust with clients. Training options include Lead OSHA, Lead-Safe Renovator, Lead Abatement Worker, and Lead Abatement Supervisor courses.

You can choose the classes that fit your goals, or attend the full week to work toward your Lead Abatement Supervisor certification. Requests will be prioritized for people who are completing the full training path.

All courses are free, with a refundable $100 deposit required to hold your spot. Your deposit will be returned after you attend the class(es). Spots are limited–check out the flyer for class dates, details, and how to register.
