With the current trail conditions and forecast, today will be the last day of grooming operations at Nine Mile.  We will also be closing the chalet after today. 

Currently, we are seeing about 1-2” of an icy base.  Over the weekend, we were able to provide a decent skate deck on Y, the M portion of the Lighted Loop, the 6k and the 10k.  While the snow tilled up decent, there was a lot of debris with the high winds.  With the lack of snow, we were able to chew up the debris but couldn’t hide it underneath. 

The classic track as of Saturday morning was about 50% ice, making for some very fast and somewhat dangerous conditions.  We have been advising patrons not to classic ski due to those conditions. 

Skiers are still welcome to ski until the trails are gone but should exercise caution and understand that conditions are icy and grooming will no longer take place.
