Construction is scheduled to begin around May 11, 2026, and is anticipated to be completed by the end of June.
The top layer of asphalt will be removed and paved with a new surface.
Storm inlets and curb & gutter will be repaired or replaced as needed.
During construction, the road will be reduced to one lane in each direction and speed limit reduced to 25 mph to provide better safety for drivers, workers and access from side streets.
Along the curve between Whispering Pine and Rainbow Drives, rumble strips will be installed at the centerline and edge of the asphalt shoulder to improve safety.
New pavement marking will also be completed.
Drivers should expect delays and will be driving on grooved surfaces during construction. Please use alternate routes if possible.
