Description
This specification is for the furnishing, installation and delivery of play equipment and safety surfacing at TWO (2) parks that shall be of a design that is age appropriate for 2–12-year olds. The project budget for Rib Falls Park is $100,000 and the project budget for Big Rapids Park is $75,000 for a total budget for the two playgrounds of $175,000. The budget is flexible between the two playgrounds.
Rib Falls Park, located at 232232 CTH S, Edgar, WI 54426 has small parking area, vault toilet and playground. The play area currently consists of swings, a play structure, a spring rider, and a sand digger. value. It is anticipated that the undeveloped area of the park (approximately 200+ acres will be developed in the next 5-10 years with lake access, picnic areas, trails, and potentially camping. It is the desire of the County that a playground with high play value be designed with increased usage in mind to serve a more regional community. This new playground will be placed in the same general location as the current playground.
Big Rapids Park, located at 217116 Cruz Lane, Stratford WI 54484 is located in the southwestern rural part of Marathon County. The play area currently consists of swings, a slide, and a ladder climber. It is the desire of the County that a small playground be placed at this park with high play value.
Play equipment shall be of the latest standard production, meet or exceed all Consumer Product Safety Commission guidelines, American Society for Testing and Materials Play Equipment Specifications and be in compliance with the 2010 ADA Guidelines for Accessible Design.
