Design Services for New Highway Shop

Project Overview

Marathon County Facilities and Capital Management is requesting proposals from qualified Architectural firms for A/E services from programming review, schematic design through construction administration for the design and construction of a New Highway Shop located at 2312 Old HWY 51, Kronenwetter, WI 54455. The project schematic design is scheduled to begin in August 2025 with the deliverables listed by the AIA for schematic design to include, but not limited to; site plan, floor plan, sections, renderings, computer images or models, elevation and a construction cost estimate by December 15^th, 2025, to provide deliverables and estimate to the County Board of Supervisors for approval. The remainder of the A/E services(design deliverables and construction documents) pending county board approval will continue through 2026 as per the schedule established by Marathon County and the selected Architectural firm. Marathon County will be using the Construction Manager at Risk for project delivery. The RFP for CM@R will begin after the A/E selection is completed.

The scope of work includes the programming and design for the construction of the new Marathon County Highway Shop. Services include but are not limited to deliverables identified in Article 3 - Scope of Architects Basic Services in the AIA B101-2017 Standard Form of Agreement Between Owner and Architect Contract to include Schematic Design, Design Deliverables, Construction Documents and Construction Administration Phase of the project. Note: the facilities constructed must follow the State of Wisconsin rules and regulations for all approvals. Services required for successful design of the project include but are not limited to; Architectural, Interior Design, Structural, MEP, Civil, Landscape, Furniture, Fixtures, Equipment, Artwork, Sustainability, and IT services. The Programming and Schematic Design is to be completed by December 15^th, 2025, for the purpose of deliverables under Schematic Design. Pending Marathon County Board of Supervisors approval, the remainder of design to be complete by June 15^th, 2026. Additional services will be identified by Article 4 - Supplemental and Additional Services.
