Overview
Marathon County is seeking proposals from benefits consultants to provide highly professional and proactive employee benefit consulting services related to the County’s selection and management of employee benefit plans and ancillary products including but not limited to HRA and flexible spending accounts.
Marathon County currently operates under a fully-insured plan but is actively exploring the feasibility of transitioning to a self-insured model. The selected consultant must demonstrate specific experience in evaluating and supporting such transitions, including actuarial analysis, stop-loss negotiations, Third Party Administrator (TPA) selection, and employee communication planning.
Additionally, Marathon County currently partners with Astia to operate an on-site employee health and wellness clinic. It is an expectation that the selected vendor will work collaboratively to maximize the benefit of this clinic, aligning plan design and communication strategies to drive utilization, optimize cost savings, and integrate the clinic into the County’s overall benefit strategy.
The required employee benefit consulting services include the full range of services related to the selection, design, funding strategy, implementation, maintenance, communication analysis and strategic improvement of the County’s health and wellness group benefits that are consistent with and directly support the County’s mission, goals, and priorities.
