County Transportation Planning Services involves assisting the County Highway Department with their planning needs and the implementation of the County's Specialized Transportation Assistance (85.21 Elderly and Disabled Transportation) Program. This work coincides with the work being done for the Wausau Area Metropolitan Planning Organization (MPO) in the Wausau Metro Area.

Wausau Metropolitan Planning Organization

The Metropolitan Planning Organization (MPO) is staffed by the Marathon County Conservation, Planning and Zoning Department. The MPO works with local, state, and federal units of government to study and address transportation issues within the Wausau Metropolitan Area.
